A Culinary Celebration

Sticky Fingers Cooking Arrives in Colorado Springs

By SFC and Tarin Alberson, Macaroni Kid Teller Publisher May 8, 2026

The local extracurricular scene is heating up as Sticky Fingers Cooking celebrates and invites the community to a free Grand Opening on Friday, May 29th, from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at the Pikes Peak Library 21c: CreateSpace. Families can enjoy hands-on stations like Culinary Engineering and Sensory Discovery to get a tangible taste of the Sticky Fingers experience.

More Than Just Recipes: A S.T.E.A.M. Approach Sticky Fingers treats recipes as blueprints for broader learning. Often described as a "culinary lab," our curriculum integrates Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math (S.T.E.A.M.) into every dish. We think it’s a big dill to show kids that math and science are actually quite sweet.

Beyond the lab, every lesson is a passport to flavor. Our ingredient exploration encourages kids to be berry brave as they taste-test exotic fruits or learn why a specific spice is the root of a culture’s traditional dish. By diving into geography and culture, students become seasoned travelers without leaving Colorado.

A Legacy of Young Chefs Since 2011, Sticky Fingers has engaged over one million young chefs nationally, proving that when kids cook, they develop independence and adventurous palates.

Summer Camp Special The celebration leads right into our summer camp season, featuring themes like Kids Cooking Showdown and Farm-to-Table. As a welcome gift, Macaroni Kids subscribers receive a 10% discount with code MacKidsTeller on summer camp registrations.

In Colorado Springs, Sticky Fingers Cooking is ready to help local kiddos get their hands messy and their minds sharp. It’s time to get cooking!
